Knox Value (KV)is StatVault's proprietary player value layer. Unlike traditional AV (Approximate Value), KV uses direct individual measurement rather than team-stat allocation, applies position-specific scoring formulas for all 4 major sports, incorporates per-opportunity efficiency alongside volume, and normalizes across eras using z-scores within season-position cohorts.

Career KV = cumulative sum of all qualified season marks. Peak KV = mean of top-5 seasons. Era-Normalized KV = career sum adjusted for era inflation/deflation.
