Show the math. Show the logic. Earn the trust.
StatVault exists to make every athlete measurable on the same language. KnoxIQ is the umbrella. KC answers who a player is right now. KV answers what they have built over a season and career.
How KC works
KC is a current-state score. It is not intended to be a career résumé score and it should not stay flat when a player's role, momentum, or availability changes.
The statistical base layer. KC starts with what a player is actually producing relative to position and league context.
Momentum matters. Recent movement, role changes, and short-horizon form keep KC present-tense instead of season-stale.
The best player unavailable is not the same as the best player ready right now. Health and active role shape current utility.
Every number carries certainty. Small samples, thin data, or unstable roles reduce confidence instead of pretending precision.
KC reading guide
Elite right now. A player driving outcomes at the top of the sport.
High-impact starter tier. Strong current form with real game-to-game utility.
Solid contributor tier. Useful, but not dominant.
Developmental, role-limited, or currently underperforming relative to peers.
How KV works
KV is not a second copy of KC. It is the long-arc value layer: season and career contribution, peak strength, and era-adjusted context.
- Career accumulation: what a player has banked over time.
- Peak recognition: how strong their best seasons were.
- Era normalization: cross-era comparability instead of raw stat inflation.
- Separation from KC: current form and long-term value are related, but not the same question.
Trust guarantees
- Grounded, not hallucinated: AI explanations are downstream of data, not substitutes for it.
- Transparent by design: chips, deltas, labels, and methodology are visible in-product.
- Cross-sport intent: a 90 should mean elite current quality regardless of sport.
- Freshness first: weekly batch cadence is explicit, not hidden.
Freshness and caveats
Primary KC updates run on a weekly cadence. That cadence is product ritual, not background noise.
If a surface is stale or empty, the product should say so directly. Hidden freshness debt kills trust.
Cross-sport and cross-era comparisons are a design goal, but confidence and context stay visible when certainty drops.
