A passing efficiency rate that extends adjusted yards per attempt to count sacks: sack yardage is subtracted from the yards and sacks are added to the attempts, so a passer who takes sacks is charged for them. Touchdowns are credited at 20 yards and interceptions charged at 45, as in AY/A.
Adjusted Net Yards per Pass Attempt (ANY/A)
Also written: ANY/A, ANYA
Standard statistic · NFL
Formula
ANY/A = (Passing yards + 20 × TD − 45 × Int − Sack yards) ÷ (Pass attempts + Sacks)
On StatVault
StatVault's stat aggregator can derive ANY/A from season totals where sacks and sack yards are present, but ANY/A is not a displayed column: NFL profile passing tables show Y/A and AdjY/A (the same idea without the sack terms) and the times-sacked count (Sk).
