19th-Century Majors

Boston Reds

Active 1890–1891 · 34 players · 5 Hall of Famers

A defunct franchise with no continuous modern successor. Its players are attributed here to Boston Reds itself — never folded into an unrelated modern club, which would fabricate a lineage that never existed. See the full index of lost clubs.

Mount Rushmore

The four largest measured careers at this club, by StatVault VAL attributed to Boston Reds itself. A season counts here only when Boston Reds is the one club whose recorded span covers it — 13 contested seasons are credited to nobody rather than double-counted. 15 of 34 players on this roster carry a measurable VAL.
