Every published answer carries a receipt, and every receipt is fingerprinted so no answer can be quietly changed afterwards. Here is how to check both.
Technical term: witness federation
Witnesses independently co-sign the daily fingerprint, so history cannot be rewritten even by us.
Highest-trust Knox answers this week — ranked by Merkle inclusion-proof depth, evidence count, and freshness. Each receipt is verifiable offline. Week of 2026-05-17
Eligibility: receipts carrying schema 1.2+ Merkle inclusion proofs. Opt out by setting public: false on receipt issue.
Technical term: evidence Merkle root
StatVault anchors every Knox answer to a tamper-evident Merkle chain over the evidence ledger. This page shows the current root and a rolling 7-day history. Each receipt at /r/[id] carries an inclusion proof verifiable offline against one of these roots.
No root snapshot yet. Once an evidence entry is appended, this page will populate.
Nightly job (verify-receipt.mjs --history) re-derives every archived receipt's inclusion proof and reports any anchorage break.
History will populate after the first daily snapshot.

Each Knox answer issues a per-receipt inclusion proof against the prevailing root. Verify any receipt offline with npm run verify:receipt rc_<id> — no server required.
