How this is computed

Every NBA regular-season VAL (Value Above League) rating in the corpus, ranked on one scale across all position groups. VAL is position-aware and era-relative, so a season is scored against the league it was played in. Pool: 18,814 rated seasons by 3,692 players; 264 other-league seasons left out.

"Led league" means the season's VAL was the highest of any rated player that season — derived from the same VAL table, not an official award.
Team is read from the player's regular-season rows for that season; a traded season lists each team.
Age is as of February 1 of the season (mid-season, the basketball-reference convention); blank where the corpus has no full birth date.
A season the VAL table does not rate is absent from this board rather than estimated.
NBA seasons only: a season the profile places in the ABA, ABL, CBA or NBL is left out, although the VAL table rates some of them.
