A Club of One
The Only Club
The rarest distinction in football isn’t leading a stat — it’s being the only player to do two things at once. Across 9,911 fully-documented complete-record-era careers, these 18 players each stand alone on a cross-skill frontier: no one else in the era has matched them on both counts.
Most Exclusive Careers
Standing alone on one frontier is rare. These players stand alone on several at once — the signature of a genuinely two-way career.

How a club of one is found
For each pair of career stats we compute the Pareto frontier— the players that no one else beats on both axes at once. A frontier member can truthfully say “I’m the only player with at least this much of A and that much of B,” because anyone clearing both marks would have knocked them off the frontier. We then round each member’s thresholds to the cleanest values that keep the claim a club of one.
Scope: complete-record-era claims only. This artifact is built from the portion of StatVault’s NFL career totals with complete per-player coverage, backed by nflverse data from 1999onward. Earlier NFL history remains part of the encyclopedia, but those seasons are not complete enough for airtight “only player” claims yet.
